“The bright red patio umbrella of this Flagstaff, Arizona home draws the eye into the beautiful patio of a custom home situated with outdoor living spaces to enjoy the forest and mountain views to the fullest. From the gardening can, to the owners bikes, and the added touch of an opened umbrella, it has that feeling of happy rest and relaxation after all the hard work of bringing the dream of a custom home to a reality.”

"When one thinks about home, it evokes feelings of warmth and coziness. Although trends have been leaning toward modern and spacious in recent years, one new home in Munds Park, built by Green Mountain Construction Inc. and designed by Architectural Design Studio, combines the best of both worlds.”
Northern Arizona's Mountain Living | January 2017
"The house was designed by Aude Stang at Architectural Design Studio and she worked closely with Hublitz and Christie Dennis from Building Energy Peformance. This helped the two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom Energy Star home achieve efficiencies for its 2,000 square feet. The home, too, features durable materials in its construction that gives it an elemental feel - from the the metal roof to the reclaimed lumber accents and exterior bard doors to the concrete floors."

"Among the new homes in Mountainaire is an interesting twin-residence project that blends smart lot use with sustainable building ideas. The brainchild of Ian Hublitz with Green Mountain Construction and Brett Jirsa with Jirsa Construction, the two jumped on a great undeveloped lot that backs the Coconino National Forest and built two identical, side-by-side homes to make wise use of the space and create great single family homes with modern designs and touches."
Northern Arizona's Mountain Living | March/April 2015
"Intended for the homeowner's creative refuge, designer Aude Stang of Architectural Design Studio and Ian Hublitz of Green Mountain Construction used locally milled wood and malapais stone to render "a surprisingly open and spacious-feeling 700-square-foot studio space, complete with a loft, full kitchen bathroom and office space," onto an existing Government Prairie home. With Stang and Hublitz, the (homeowner's) focus was creating an energy efficient space that includes passive solar design that keeps the space warm, even in the winter."

Seth Muller writes, "In towns such as Flagstaff-where the cost of living is high, these building concepts (ADUs) are becoming more appealing." Green Mountain Construction "took an existing home, expanded it by 250 square feet, then reconfigured the rest of building footprint to create a 600-square foot secondary residence while keeping 1,100 square feet for the main home." This project earned a Coconino County Sustainable Building Award.
